It is with a heavy heart that that we have just learned of the passing of Monsignor Tom Leonard who was very close friend and confidant of Fr. Peter.
Although Monsignor Tom had retired and was living at St. Malachy’s he was very much involved with the parish activities. During Fr. Peter’s long illness Monsignor Tom handled a number of issues in Peter’s name. He also visited Peter at the various health facilities, saying mass with him and bringing the sacraments.
He will be greatly missed. A true shepherd to the people”
